Pyrate Isle Sauces Wins International Food Award

Pyrate Isle Sauces was among the winners at the 2006 Scovie Awards. The Scovie Awards recognize top fiery food products from around the globe.

In the industry’s most rigorous blind tastings, a panel of the country’s top culinary experts sampled hundreds of the world’s’ most lauded gourmet foods, and the top scoring products each received a coveted Scovie Banner.

Pyrate Isle’s Crows Nest Wing Sauce won a third place Scovie Award in the Cook-It-Up Division. Over 600 products competed for top honors. 2006 winners represented companies from over 33 States and five countries. Scoville winners truly exemplify the diversity and quality of this industry.

The Scovie Awards were created by Dave DeWitt, publisher of Fiery-Foods & BBQ Magazine, founder of the National Fiery Foods & BBQ Show and dubbed by the New York Times as the “Pope of Peppers.” The Awards are named for Wilbur Scoville, who pioneered a rating scale for spicy foods, and have become the industry standard for excellence in over 60 categories of fiery foods.

Pyrate Isle Wins Blue Ribbon Award

Pyrate Isle Sauces won 1st Place in the Condiments Category at the 2002 Texas Fiery Foods Show Shoot Out. The contest is one of the country’s most prestigious with entrants from around the United States and abroad.
